I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and a member of Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). I completed my Clinical PhD at The University of Queensland in 2009 studying the use of CBT to treat anxiety and depression in adolescents with Asperger’s syndrome.
I have worked with adults, children and families in private practice settings, hospitals and universities. My experience including working with adults and children with complex mental and physical health conditions, Functional Neurological Disorders (FND), persistent pain, trauma, Asperger’s syndrome, depression, anxiety and other emotional difficulties. Beyond my early training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), I have completed Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher training, Mindfulness Integrated CBT (MiCBT), Positive Neuroplasticity Training, compassionate communication, and a range of positive psychology practices. More recently, I have also completed additional trauma treatment training: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR, Level 1 and 2), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1); and pain management training: NOI Explained Pain and Graded Motor Imagery (GMI). |
